We are watching Khidki - a story about a little girl's wish and her father's hope to make it come true.

This film is a part of Mysticeti's initiative to share stories in regional languages.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I belong to a small village in India (Ner in Maharashtra). I say 'belong' because growing up here, I became a part of my community's everyday stories -  from quiet sunsets, spending hours in the farm and walking along the river. So naturally, over time, I decided to share these stories with the world through my short films.

Khidki is my first attempt at portraying a story about a train ride that has stuck with me for many years. It is also an attempt at portraying the quality of infrastructure that a large chunk of India’s population continues to access.
